Once you go homemade, you never go back. This recipe is everything you want your milk to be - it is super creamy, froths beautifully and can be adjusted in so many ways to suit your liking. Say goodbye to all those nasty additives & sugars in store bought milks. Let us know how much you love this, it makes us so happy to hear from first-timers!
INGREDIENTS:
- 1 cup Almonds
- Filtered Water
- A sprinkle of Sea salt
- Cinnamon (add to your liking)
- 2 Dates pitted OR 2 Tbsp Maple Syrup
- Optional: 1 tsp vanilla extract
METHOD:
- Soak Almonds in cool filtered water overnight, or if you need to speed up the process in hot water for 4 hours.
- Drain the soaked nuts, add to a high-speed blender with filtered water and blend for around 1 min until smooth & creamy.
- More water makes it thinner, less water makes it thicker
- Add all other ingredients and blend for another 2 minutes or so.
- Strain using a nut milk bag or we also find that a sieve with very small holes works as well.
- Transfer milk to a jar and refrigerate for up to 4 days. Shake well before consuming.
