Homemade Almond Milk

Once you go homemade, you never go back. This recipe is everything you want your milk to be - it is super creamy, froths beautifully and can be adjusted in so many ways to suit your liking. Say goodbye to all those nasty additives & sugars in store bought milks. Let us know how much you love this, it makes us so happy to hear from first-timers! 

INGREDIENTS:

  • 1 cup Almonds
  • Filtered Water
  • A sprinkle of Sea salt
  • Cinnamon (add to your liking)
  • 2 Dates pitted OR 2 Tbsp Maple Syrup
  • Optional: 1 tsp vanilla extract

METHOD:

  • Soak Almonds in cool filtered water overnight, or if you need to speed up the process in hot water for 4 hours.
  • Drain the soaked nuts, add to a high-speed blender with filtered water and blend for around 1 min until smooth & creamy.
  • More water makes it thinner, less water makes it thicker
  • Add all other ingredients and blend for another 2 minutes or so.
  • Strain using a nut milk bag or we also find that a sieve with very small holes works as well.
  • Transfer milk to a jar and refrigerate for up to 4 days. Shake well before consuming.
